Maria Maidment
I have 30 years experience in printed textile design, working in the textile fashion industry as a fabric designer during the 80s and 90s. I have graduated in 2020 , studying at the Lincoln University for textile conservation, historical fabrics. I work with the National Trust in historical houses, private clients and museums in the UK.
My passion is working with historical fabrics, embroidery and beadwork and creating exciting heritage themed products to teach and promote my skills. As well as selling my products I also design sewing kits for crafters who want to create their own products, I am a member of the RSN, and I am developing my skills further so I can teach heritage sewing in goldwork embroidery .
I am a regular guest on Hobby Maker TV, where I demonstrate my products to all ages and diverse groups which by sharing my skills in heritage methods in sewing, creative ideas in a modern ways , after all its all about sharing !
